The Edsel Villager is a station wagon that was produced and sold by Edsel from 1958 to 1960. Like the twodoor Roundup and premium Bermuda station wagons, the Villager was initially built on a 116 in wheelbase shared with Fords station wagons, and, throughout its lifespan, shared Fords wagons core body stampings. The Villager and the Ranger were the only two model names that existed ...Edsel was a make of car and a new car making division introduced by the Ford Motor Company on September 4, 1957.The company called that day, EDay. It was named after Henry Fords son, Edsel Ford.The Edsel was also one of the biggest failures in history. It was sold for only three years, ending in 1960.. Ford planned to move their Lincoln brand upmarket and put another make in beneath it.
