The Packard Clipper is an automobile which was built by the Packard Motor Car Company (and by the later StudebakerPackard Corporation) for models years 1941–1942, 1946–1947 and 1953–1957.For 1956 only, Clipper was classified as a standalone marque. The Clipper was introduced in April, 1941, as a midmodel year entry.It was available only as a fourdoor sedan.The Packard 1A2500 is an American V12 liquidcooled aircraft engine designed by Packard in 1924 as a successor to the World War Iera Liberty L12. Five aero variants were produced, of which the 3A2500 was the most numerous. Three marine versions, used most prominently in American World War II PTboats, the 3M2500, 4M2500, and 5M2500, were also derived from it.
